Youth health and development in Tanzania

Abstract

The paper defines youth as those aged between 10-24 years. The problems faced by youths in Tanzania are analysed with a focus on health, social and psychological issues. There has been a decline in the marriage age from 31-20% during 1967-88 as a result of compulsory universal primary education (UPE). The study mentions the following as courses of have poor performance in schools and made them vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.
