Abstract

Private Sector Development: The Case of Private Health Facilities (PHFs) Initiated by the Foundation as part of its in-house research programme. The main objective of the study was to assess private sector development using the case of Private Health Facilities (PHFs) with the view to examining the experience in promoting and regulating private investment. The study also examined broad-based linkages in the health sector and sought to identify the desirable forms of public-private sector partnerships in the provision of quality and equitable health care. The field survey was undertaken in Dar es Salaam region.
