Health care financing in Tanzania

Abstract

The main interest of this study is to obtain the necessary cost data for providing essential services at dispensary, health center, District hospital levels, for the purpose of enabling the Ministry of Health, The government of Tanzania, and local government, to be aware about the real cost of the health services needed, the importance of involving the private sector in service provision and further more to build the capacity as well as to transfer the relevant skills to the unit of the Ministry of health to enhance effective plans and high quality services
