Reducing young child mortality through improving vitamin A intake in Tanzania

Abstract

This plan for monitoring and evaluating the vitamin A supplementation programmed is divided into two parts: The progress monitoring will be done through forms designed to assess the proportion of capsules consumed. The impact evaluation, on the other hand, will determine the vitamin A effect on serum retinol of children under 5, the breastmilk retinol of the mother, xerophthalmia in children under 5 and the mortality rate of children under 5.
