Abstract
This study trace the high admission rate among referrals that suggest that the decision to refer is generally appropriate but low referrals suggest that too few children are referred. This findings also address the aspect of Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) strategy so that more children may be managed at peripheral level and fewer children need referral
