Assessment of the immunization services in Tanzania

Abstract

This assessment reviews the status of current immunization operations in Tanzania and identifies needs for improvement in the immunization program itself or in the health system of which it is part. In addition the desirability and feasibility of introducing Hepatitis B vaccine in Tanzania and the identification of Vitamin A supplementation strategies are examined. Suggestions for a review of the epi strategic plans are given
