An estimation of the entomological inoculation rate for Ifakara

Abstract

This study was designed to provide an Entomological Innoculation Rate (EIR) estimate for Ifakara town the settings for various malaria research studies in the past 5 years,it insightfully consider the mode of transmission in Ifakara town rather lower than in the surrounding villages due to fewer and marginalized breading posts/sites hence reducing the number of mosquitoes as well as to report an alternative approach to the estimation of the EIR from semi-urban setting of Ifakara town
